If you are like me, you've lived a large portion of your life basing your joy and hope on circumstances: whether you had enough money, the right job, ministry, friends, etc., and you found that you had moments of happiness, but deep down there was this deep-seated uneasiness combined with a lack of joy.
In this book, the author helps readers navigate circumstances and sufferings through shared personal experiences, Bible study, and a focus on building a hope centered on Christ and the joy that results.

Sola Scriptura is replaced with Sola Dollar or Sola Economics. Ministries and Bible teaching are suffocated under the burden of “proving that they need the money.”
What I have found is that over the past decade, I have been equipped with tools to help me have a far higher quality of life than I had before seeking treatment.
You can’t build on two different foundations. Either you will build on the solid rock of God’s Word. Or, you will build on the sinking sand of man’s wisdom.
This way of thinking and approach to Christ’s Church is not only unbiblical but also very destructive to the body and to the Elders/Pastors who are forced to fill these roles.
