Just as we need daily food to sustain us physically, we also need daily food from God’s Word to sustain us spiritually.
24 Your testimonies also are my delight;
They are my counselors.
A testimony is a declaration whether written or spoken of something that is factually true. So, the testimonies of God are His written Word, His actions in time, and the lives of His people that are called by His name. The testimony of God’s Word, Christians, the church, and our pursuit of holiness should be our delight. God’s Word is our guide to live life fully and correctly.

Counselors - counsel, advice, purpose, plans, strategy.
Anyone who has wise counsel will make better decisions in life. There is no greater counselor than God and no better way to seek His counsel than in His Word. The Christian finds true joy in studying and applying God’s Word.

Lord, I find true delight and joy in Your Word. I want to surround myself with wise counsel rooted in Your Holy Scriptures. Help me lean on Your testimonies found in Your Word, Your people, and Your church. I want to pursue holiness in accordance with Your wise counsel.
